More photos from Disraeli's Hughendon Estate... During the war, Hughendon became the headquarters for a top Secret WW11 operation that put Hughendon high on Hitler's hit-list. It was a secret map making base codenamed 'Hillside'. The basement rooms have been recreated to show what it might have looked like at that time.
